The Wedding of May & Alex

May and Alex had the ultimate rustic wedding set at a ranch and all. Their special day took place at the beautiful Orcutt Ranch in West Hills, which we enjoyed visiting during our planning process as visitors flocked to for “First Pick” weekend as the ranch harvested the fruit. The lush backdrop was perfect for May and Alex’s vision for their wedding, which was keeping everything very natural. They chose bright peaches and pinks for their flowers with simple, but beautiful, baby’s-breath centerpieces clustered on top of bark pieces, and May used the same flowers in her floral crown, tying the whole look together. Guests arrived to the ranch and were asked to “mail” love advice on vintage postcards to the couple before taking a seat at the ceremony site, which was a secret garden with an impressive tree as the focal point. After May and Alex said “I Do”, they invited guests to take a fun group shot in the orchards before heading over to enjoy the open bar and macaroni and cheese station from their caterer, Lucille’s BBQ. The reception was filled with sweet moments, such as love advice from an elderly couple that had some years of experience on the newlyweds. May and Alex ended the event by treating their guests to a Yogurtland station on the warm summer evening, before heading over to a local bar to continue celebrating with friends. May and Alex definitely had a vision for their day, and we were so happy to be a part of it!
