One of the challenges and exciting things about being a planner is being able to pull together a full wedding within a short period of time. Alexa reached out to us about 6 weeks before her actual wedding date while planning from Ohio. In the middle of summer and busy season, this definitely proved to be challenging. One caveat, the groom lived and worked in Arabia and we had to help make decisions quickly. Being that this wedding was a traditional Muslim wedding, there were a lot of rules and distinctions we had to abide by. As a reader, you’ll notice there aren’t photos of people or the couple, as it’s not allowed for women to be viewed publicly even through photographs. 

Despite the guest count being about 40 people, on the wedding day, the men and women were separated into to separate ballrooms, but adjacent to each other. In the women’s room, a Kosha was set up for the couple so that only the Groom could come and go into the room. Touches of pink, champagne and gold accented the space along decadent food displays and desserts by Terranea’s staff. In the adjoining ballroom, the men’s side was still just as glamorous, but set in an all white setting and simple to keep conversation and flow open. 

While this wedding was a learning experience on specific religious cultures and rules, it was also one of the prettiest ones.
